Mentoring Support for new businesses
Setting up your own business is both exciting and a roller coaster experience. We appreciate that new business owners are often overwhelmed with the number of choices and decisions they need to make in their first year as well as dealing with the loneliness of being a sole trader. Mentoring provides support and guidance from accredited and experienced business owners who advise on many areas from creating an initial business plan to setting realistic and achievable goals that will set them up well for the years to come.
We offer full mentoring support for those in their first year of business and for those considering whether self-employment is the right choice for them. We help with business planning, time management, marketing strategy, networking, goal setting, provide accountability and a critical friend, all essential skills to ensure your business gets off to a flying start.
Coaching supervision
Simply described as the ‘coaches coach’, supervision is essential for all coaches especially those who are newly accredited. Rebecca Leppard has extensive experience in developing a pool of internal coaches within organisations as well as supporting internal coaches to develop and improve their skills.
360 degree feedback
360 degree feedback is the perfect start to a coaching conversation as it helps to identify areas of development and increases self-awareness. It is proven to improve employees’ effectiveness and support an individual’s continuous development.
We provide an end-to-end 360 degree process from sending out the initial reports online to facilitating face-to-face feedback sessions for all participants. We also offer impartial feedback for organisations that use their own internal 360 reports.
Additionally Rebecca Leppard is an accredited 360 degree feedback facilitator for the NHS Leadership Framework and offers 2 hour feedback sessions, as recommended by the NHS Leadership Academy. CLICK HERE for more details on the Healthcare leadership model 360 degree feedback tool.
Why Use A Coach?
Coaching is a simple but powerful intervention that really works. Coaching principles start from a positive stand point believing that you have the answers and the resources you need to change, develop and get to where you want to be.
ILM research shows that 95% of learning and development managers say that coaching has delivered tangible benefits to their business www.i-l-m.com.
Working with a coach will enable you to seek clarity, make sense of where you are and where you want to get to, whether that’s in your work or home life. Coaching will help you to put achievable and realistic plans in place, realise what’s important and give you more energy to focus on the positive areas of your life.
As a result you will be more effective, with greater communication skills and self-awareness. These are invaluable skills whether you manage a team of people, are seeking a career change or juggle a busy family life. Coaching helps to reduce stress, increase productivity and gives you more confidence in your own abilities as well as helping you to improve the performance of others.
Coaching is challenging, practical and action focused in a safe and confidential environment that will enable you to grow and develop into the person you’ve always wanted to be.
DO YOU:-
- Want to go for that promotion at work or are you seeking a new direction in your career?
- Want to be more focused, plan your time effectively and create achievable goals?
- Want to be less stressed and have a better work/life balance?
- Want to gain greater confidence in your own abilities, believing you CAN get to where you want to be?
Then coaching is for you!
Coaching gives you space to think, bounce ideas around and try out new ways of working in a safe environment where the coach is purely there to support you.
In this busy world where we are always ‘on-line’ through smart phones, email and social media, coaching provides valuable time out that we all need to help us think, plan and work out what is important.
What should I look for in a coach?
Good coaches will use and follow these principles in their coaching sessions:-
- A coach must always be supportive and non-judgemental
- Listening is more important than talking
- What motivates people must be fully explored and understood
- Everyone is capable of achieving more
- A persons past is no indication of their future
- Peoples beliefs about what is possible for themselves are their only limits
- Coaches do not provide the answers
- Coaching does not include criticizing others
- Coaching is confidential
- Some people’s needs cannot be met through coaching. Coaches will signpost their clients onto alternative, more suitable interventions that are in their best interest.
